How 3DUS Elevates Visual Presentation for Luxury Residential Developers. Interview with Ignacio Alvarez, Vice President of Development at Interlink Puerto Rico

Juan Luque: Hey everyone, Juan Luque here. Today, I'm excited to have Ignacio Alvarez from Interlink Puerto Rico with us. We’re going to dive into how they’ve achieved better project presentations using 3D renderings. Ignacio, could you please briefly introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your company and what you do?

Ignacio Alvarez: Of course! My name is Ignacio Alvarez, and I’m the Vice President of the Development Department at Interlink Group. We’ve been operating in Puerto Rico for over 45 years. We primarily focus on hospitality projects but have recently returned to our roots with more residential developments. Our company is vertically integrated, which means we handle the entire process—from development and general contracting to property management. This allows us to streamline projects and deliver better value to our investors and clients.

Juan Luque: That’s great to hear! What sets Interlink apart in the market?

Ignacio Alvarez: I think what truly sets us apart is our vertical integration. We handle everything from development to construction to asset management, which allows us to move quickly and efficiently. We can run numbers, identify ways to maximize returns, and build the product ourselves. This approach gives us a competitive edge in Puerto Rico’s market.

Juan Luque: Specifically in regard to 3D visualization, what was your approach before working with us?

Ignacio Alvarez: Before partnering with 3DUS, we used a mix of local and U.S.-based rendering companies. The process was very hands-on, and we often found ourselves nitpicking small details. We relied heavily on the designers’ expertise to bring the vision to life, but it wasn’t always easy to communicate exactly what we wanted.

Juan Luque: What initially attracted you to our services?

Ignacio Alvarez: We discovered 3DUS through social media. We were looking for something different, and your renderings stood out as unique in the market. After seeing your work on other projects, we felt that you could bring something fresh to the table, so we decided to approach you. It’s been a great decision so far.

Juan Luque: Since partnering with us, what improvements have you noticed in your presentations?

Ignacio Alvarez: The quality of your renderings is remarkable. The level of detail is what makes a real difference. You bring the images to life in a way that feels authentic, especially with the incorporation of real-life backgrounds, whether it’s a lagoon or a sunset. It helps clients visualize not just the building, but the entire environment they’ll be in. It’s been a big step forward for us in how we present our projects.

Juan Luque: There’s often a perception that architectural visualization services can be expensive. Have you been able to quantify your return on investment, and do you think it’s worth it?

Ignacio Alvarez: While we haven’t formally quantified the return on investment, the impact is clear when it comes to selling a product. Renderings allow potential buyers to visualize where they’ll live, what their view will be, and how they’ll feel in that space. It’s made the sales process much smoother, and we believe the investment has definitely been worth it.

Juan Luque: What made you choose to work with us over other options?

Ignacio Alvarez: We wanted something different, and your work stood out in terms of quality. The renderings we saw on social media were unique and unlike anything else in Puerto Rico’s market. We’re very happy with the choice we made to partner with 3DUS.

Juan Luque: Would you recommend our services to others, and what kind of companies or projects do you think we’re a great fit for?

Ignacio Alvarez: Absolutely. I’d especially recommend 3DUS for residential projects. The way you can highlight the unique aspects of a property and show potential buyers why they should choose that particular home is impressive. Your attention to detail and ability to capture the essence of a project make you a great fit for any developer in the residential space.

Juan Luque: What’s your number one piece of advice for others in the Caribbean development space?

Ignacio Alvarez: Patience is key. While we all wish things would move faster, it’s important to take the time to analyze the market and identify your site’s competitive advantage. Be concise and analytical in your approach to ensure that your project will succeed.
