MOD LAB Modern Living | Fort Lauderdale
Our client hired us to create a new brand for an innovative mixed-use building concept, redesign the facades for a more exciting and young look, and explore interior design options for the common areas, a restaurant, a co-working space, pool deck, and communal kitchen.
The Branding Development team at 3DUS created the Mod Lab brand based on the specifications provided by our client, research, and analysis of the developing area, user group, and lifestyle.
EXTERIOR DESIGN
Our architects conceived a vertical village concept for the exterior facades. Working - Eating - Relaxing and Living are areas uniquely identified from the outside. It was also essential to engage with the community and facilitate spaces for art and expression, using the parking floor as a giant canvas. As a result, we created what we like to call a Bohemian industrial pop revival building.
INTERIOR DESIGN
The interior design becomes an extension of the brand and the facade. On the first level, we developed three areas: A restaurant and bar, a lobby for the living units, and a co-working space. All spaces connect in an expansive double-high promenade and atrium in the front, forcing social interaction and promoting an active and dynamic environment. All the interiors fishes include simple materials and a neutral natural palette with splashes of color in strategic areas. The furniture is simple, modern, and fun.
